History

Garden Plain State Bank was granted a charter by the Kansas Banking Commission in December of 1966. The bank opened in Garden Plain Kansas on December 21, 1966.
 
The bank enjoyed a steady growth since its inception and then made a decision to expand into the Wichita Kansas market. In 1989 Garden Plain State Bank moved its main office to west Wichita and branched back to Garden Plain.
